After many weeks, in fact, months, of soul searching and contemplation I have taken the decision to close Godfather Tailoring permanently from 1st April 2023.

I started the business in 2016 and have built some fantastic professional relationships with clients and have met some truly amazing people from Knights of the Realm to showbiz personalities, leaders in business and national sports stars.

Covid hit my business very hard as it did for many people and being unable to visit clients and offer that personal face to face service took a huge toll to the point that I decided to seek alternative employment to bring in a steady income.

Recovery has been slow and although I have maintained many of my regular clients, sourcing new business has been difficult despite using all the social media platforms to promote my business. GDPR rules affected my ability to source new clients by email as I had successfully done previously prior to Covid.

Juggling Godfather Tailoring and my other job became a factor and it was time to make a decision, one which I haven't taken lightly or easily as my passion and my love is in tailoring and serving my clients. But in reality the other job maintains a steady income, regular hours and a high level of job security and I had to train for many weeks and learn and relearn skills that I haven't had to use for many years.

I have just passed my 60th birthday and am certainly not as fit as I once was. Using my downtime to focus on marketing, travelling to clients, measuring, ordering, fittings, alterations, book keeping and everything else that goes with running a sole trader business left me exhausted and so I have taken this decision.

To those that I have met and those that have helped me and advised me over the past seven years and to my much valued customers and clients I would like to thank you and wish you success and prosperity for the future.
